As of next week unlocking your smartphone or cell phone will be seen as illegal. Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, no one will be able unlock their cell phones, smartphone, Tablet and it will be illegal to jailbreak your tablet, if it is not authorized by your mobile subscribers action can be taken. A 90 day window was given to customers to unlock their phones by jan 29. I’m very confused by this law, so apparently customers will be able to buy a device and unlock it but then after jan 29 it will be seen as legal. These congress guys need to get it together. ”Most carriers lock their phones to prevent them from running on competitors’ networks. Starting next week, U.S. consumers will no longer legally be allowed to unlock their carrier-locked devices without permission, though some smartphones such as Verizon’s iPhone 5 and the Nexus 4 are unlocked to begin with.”

After a long debate, the happy news is unlocking cellphones are no more illegal. Recently also I unlocked my cell phone safer and easier using unlock code without any hassle.
