What a tragic death. An unidentified 19-year-old jumped from the Brooklyn Bridge this morning during early rush hour traffic to his death. He was threatening to jump from the Brooklyn bridge about 7:20 AM. 30 minutes later, he jumped from the east tower of the Brooklyn bridge and landed in the rear of the River Cafe. The cops had even shut down all bridge traffic in both directions to pedestrians and cars in hopes to stop him, but unfortunately he had jumped and died instantly.
The bridge is now reopened to traffic.
