A 70-year-old woman accused of hacking off her husband’s genitals has been ordered to stand trial.
After an hour-long hearing, with the victim as the only witness for either side, a California judged found that there is enough evidence for Virginia Valdez to be taken to court.
She will answer to charges of assault with a deadly weapon, spousal abuse and mayhem, all of which she is pleading not guilty to. If convicted she faces up to nine years in jail.
