Light heavyweight champion Jon Jones will defend his title Sept. 1 against Dan Henderson at UFC 151 in Las Vegas, promotion president Dana White announced Wednesday night on Twitter.
While the fight’s date and location is known, UFC has yet to reveal which Vegas venue will host the event.
Jones (16-1) will make his fourth defense of the title he won with a third-round TKO of Mauricio “Shogun” Rua on March 19, 2011. He successfully defended his title for the third time on April 21 with a unanimous decision over former sparring partner Rashad Evans.
Henderson (29-8) returns to action for the first time since Nov. 19, when he defeated Rua by unanimous decision in a closely contested bout.
