Edwin Ledgard, 36, was busted at a Frisch’s Big Boy in west Toledo Friday after a co-worker spotted him spiking the java pot with three vials of drugs, the Toledo Blade reported.

Cops identified the drug as Dextran, which is injected into baby pigs to treat iron deficiency.

Ledgard, who wasn’t working at the time, told police after the bust that he had a “delusion” that he should kill Big Boy patrons, the Blade reported.

It wasn’t clear if drinking Dextran could be harmful to humans, and the coffee was not served to anyone.

Ledgard has a history of violent behavior and served two stints in Ohio jails in 2010 for assault and stalking, the Blade said.

Ledgard was being held in a Lucas County lockup on charges of contaminating a substance for human consumption.
