Posted by Unknown on 6:39 PM

The U.S. Coast Guard confiscated approximately 4,355 pounds of cocaine from a go-fast boat in the Caribbean Sea.

The Coast Guard Cutter Bear was patrolling the Caribbean Sea when the crew received reports of a go-fast vessel in the area.
Upon the Coast Guard’s arrival, passengers onboard the go-fast boat began dumping bales overboard before speeding away.
The Coast Guard Cutter Bear, with help from Customs and Border Patrol, stopped the go-fast boat and boarded the vessel.
The Bear crew seized 4,355 pounds of cocaine, with an estimated street value of $58 million.
Five crew members onboard the go-fast boat were detained and transferred to federal officials at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
