Earlier this morning, Lil B had the Internet rap world in a tizzy when he tweeted the news that he was in the studio recently working on Lil Wayne's new mixtape. The Based God, of course, then spouted off about how history has been made and that "Its A Wrap 2011 And Beyond." The problem most of us had with the announcement was that no one really know what the hell he was talking about. Was he referring to the Dedication 4 mixtape? Or was it something else?
Well, it turns out it's the latter. Young Money rapper Mack Maine too took to the social networking site to announce that Weezy is dropping a new mixtape, Sorry 4 The Wait, very soon. Now what that means exactly in terms of a time frame remains up in the air, but maybe it's Wayne's way of apologizing about all the Tha Carter IV delays.
Tha Carter IV is tentatively scheduled to drop Aug. 29. Watch the "John" video below.
