Matt Daniels is the creator of the ‘Hip Hop Vocabularies Project,’ who’s also engineered the website “Sample-Stitch,” allowing its users an interface of original tracks to Recreate Kanye, 9th Wonder, Dilla Beats with Original Samples.

Many are already saying “the procrastination level is on 100,” seems you can easily get lost in reconstruction process–one could guess as far as your ear, abilities, persistence and creativity can go. The site actually syncs and maps your keyboard to a media library of classic sounds, prompting you with a challenge each time you enter—can you Recreate Kanye, 9th Wonder, Dilla Beats with Original Samples?:

Included on the website is “Otis” by Kanye and Jay Z, “Impressknowsoul” by 9th Wonder, and “Don’t Cry” by J Dilla.

Anyone who has a studious interest, deep relationship or even remote curiosity of song production knows how accomplished the featured producers are. (Imagine if there was a RZA challenge!!!)…if you’re in the advanced class of production and samples already then just consider this rote work, basic training–but still worth a look! A Lawsuit was filled in Georgia earlier this month . It is alleged that after an Albany Police officer said he didn’t like the tone of a womens voice , he then slammed her to the ground and the woman who was pregnant ended of miscarried.

Kenya Harris was at the police station because her son was arrested. Kenya Harris ended up spending about five hours at the police station and then asked to be allowed to leave to take care of her other kids. Once she was slammed on the ground, and arrested on obstruction of justice charges , Kenya Harris said she learned that she had miscarried after making bail and seeking the proper medical attention that was not provided to her.

“Defendant Officer Jenkins stated that he did not appreciate the tone in which she was communicating with him, and further stated that if she continued he would take her head and ‘put it to the floor,'” the complaint states.

Kenyan Harris says when she again tried to explain that she needed to leave, Jenkins followed through on his threat.

“Defendant Officer Jenkins, without provocation, grabbed plaintiff, who weighs less than one hundred twenty (120) pounds, by her neck and slammed her to the ground. Plaintiff momentarily blacked out and came to with defendant Officer Jenkins sitting on her back, and with his knee on her arm. Plaintiff was pregnant at the time.”

Kenya Harris is currently asking for $50,000 and punitive damages , arguing that the officer used an extreme and unnecessary amount of force. It has yet to be known what stage of pregnancy Kenya Harris was in . Kenyan Harris was treated for a knee contusion , muscle main , bruising to her body and neck spasms the day after she was slammed on to the ground by the cop .

NBA: Report, Steph Curry Had His Sneakers For All Star Weekend Stolen

Steph Curry was all set to debut two unreleased colorways of the Curry One, his signature shoe with Under Armour, during NBA All-Star Weekend’s Saturday night festivities. That plan seemed easy enough. That is, until the sneakers were stolen.

An Under Armour spokesman confirmed to ESPN.com’s Darren Rovell that the shoes were indeed taken. They were signed for on Friday when they arrived in Brooklyn, but went missing before being delivered.

Nice Kicks’ George Kiell III provides more details on the situation.

Steph was set to wear the “Candy Reign” Under Armour Curry One for the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest and the Charlotte Hornets-esque “Father to Son” pair for the Shooting Stars Competition.

“UA sent them out the quickest way possible as they usually do, but somehow the shoes magically went missing,” our source stated. “Steph almost missed a chance to debut his two favorite pairs this weekend, which would’ve have been a disaster.”

Luckily for Curry, Under Armour was able to get him backup pairs of the shoes ahead of Saturday’s events.

NBA: Report, Paul George To Return From Gruesome Leg Injury In March!

If things go right, we could be seeing a PG-13 movie the rest of the NBA season with the return of Paul George. In case you don’t know, he has changed his number from 24 to 13, to align with him new nickname “PG-13″. Obviously after a catastrophic injury like the one he had, nobody knows for sure how much of his game will return immediately, but in the weak eastern conference, his return could very well propel the Pacers into the playoffs, even if it looks like a long shot now.

Paul George spent time Friday afternoon taking care of business in New York City, but getting back on the court was on his mind.

“There’s no exact timetable for my return,” George told ESPN.com from Jay Z’s 40/40 Club, where he had a public design session with New Era Cap to finalize his new logo and work on a collection of hats for the company. “I have targeted March 1 as the date that I would go 100 percent in practice, and if everything felt good, I’d give myself another two weeks to get in shape to play in a game.”

George said he still has a long way to go but “the best part is feeling like a basketball player again.”

Everyone, even fans who hate the Pacers would love to see PG return to the floor. He seems like a real genuine guy away from the game which makes him that much easier of a player to root for to comeback at his best.

There’s definitely a lot of buzz…and confusion surrounding If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late, but what if it’s intentional? Fulfilling certain obligations, curving “bad energy,” side-eyeing authority, going at a few necks–all to possibly chuck a deuce (among other fingers)? Is New Drake Release A Move to Get Out of Cash Money?

Though talk was heating up as soon as If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late was released, the drama that’s ensued is not just about the Tyga diss and response. More and more sources have been asking Is New Drake Release A Move to Get Out of Cash Money and pointing to the random and unannounced drop as a mercy release–or rather, a strategically placed checkmate from Drizzy and the OVO team to the Cash Money establishment?

For one argument on Is New Drake Release A Move to Get Out of Cash Money, note that nobody really knows for sure (maybe you can answer?)—is it an album…or a mixtape??? The chess here though, is that all 17-tracks are streaming on Spotify and being sold on iTunes. This in addition (or conflict) to the at one time free streaming tracks that were made available on OVO’s Soundcloud account, being taken down within minutes. (FYI at this point even the #DJFunkFlexApp stream of the work has been stripped). Sources say the free stream however had not been removed and was still on OVO’s blog as of yesterday–resentment or nah? A lasting WTF on most people’s mind’s has been the absence of the “Views From the 6″ album Drizzy had been “promising,” replaced or just back-burned from the presence of this release, which many are calling an ‘intentionally non-radiosingle bearing-status update bars-filled’ ‘album.’

But there’s a bigger picture for Is New Drake Release A Move to Get Out of Cash Money: While it’s public knowledge of Lil’ Wayne’s dissent, lawsuit, and plan to take Drake and Nicki Minaj with him, dropping this ‘album’ officially may fulfill Drake’s contract with the Cash Money order. (Wayne had a four album deal, Drake’s deal number is not public knowledge, but this is his fourth). Assess these facts on top of him also releasing the album quite randomly (or carelessly) during Diddy’s concert. Though sales of the record are approaching Beyonce-like first week sales at 500,000 in three days, the status-update rap Drizzy’s serving is definitely summed up in the title.

The unload of Drake surprises has’t stopped, from his Sprite concert with Nas to rocking with Kanye, it’s possible communication is ‘iffy’ and Cash Money didn’t know about these either. And just for the record…there’s no mention of Birdman or Cash Money in any way, shape or form among the “thank you’s” of the release, though he does manage to thank “Amanda who took me to that poetry reading in Baltimore” and “the entire Raptors organization” (yikes). Perhaps if Cash Money is reading this, it’s too late.

Could a “surprise drop of that “Free Weezy” be up next?

NBA: DeMarcus Cousins On Charles Barkley: “I Don’t Respect Him”

The strange feud between Charles Barkley and Kings big man DeMarcus Cousins seems to be heating up in the cold winter. The two have never gotten along for some reason and Barkley can’t help but to trash Cousins any chance he gets. Cousins for his part doesn’t even seem to know why Charles always comes at him, but he didn’t hold back when asked about him. Just because you’re a legend doesn’t mean someone can’t come back at you when you speak ill of them.

“It ain’t personal,” Cousins said when asked about the TNT analyst. “I mean, I don’t really respect the guy, but at the same time, I don’t really care what he thinks either.

“I don’t respect him and I don’t care what he thinks.”

Barkley recently was critical of the Sacramento Kings All-Star center and even used an expletive to describe how disgusted he was when discussing reports that Cousins was consulted by the Kings before they hired head coach George Karl.

“Why are they discussing it with him,” Barkley said during a TNT telecast. “Yeah, I am totally disgusted with that. … He hasn’t done enough to deserve that type of power. [The Kings] stink. Why would you give a guy that young that type of power?

Cousins responded Saturday by saying, “I mean, that’s Charles being Charles.”

“A lot of people don’t really know the real story about it,” Cousins said. “I never really had anything to do with it in the first place.”

Barkley and Cousins are two of the best basketball products to come out of the state of Alabama and both were selected fifth overall in their respective NBA drafts.

But Cousins said in a Bleacher Report feature last year that he felt Barkley has been critical of him since the former NBA great watched Cousins play in an Alabama high school state playoff game and talked to reporters.

Cousins also felt Barkley stuck up for Paul Westphal after the former Kings coach suspended Cousins for conduct detrimental to the team in 2012. Barkley played for Westphal in Phoenix.

When asked if Barkley is considered an authority because of his opinions on television, Cousins didn’t seem to agree.

“I wouldn’t necessarily say he’s anybody of an authority,” Cousins said. “I would just say he is very comfortable on the television.”

Busey, 70, was leaving a shopping center Friday afternoon when he allegedly hit the unidentified woman. She was treated and released at the scene, authorities said.He was not cited and there was no evidence of alcohol or illegal substances, said Lt. Any Rotella of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.Busey has appeared in movies such as “The Buddy Holly Story” and “Lethal Weapon.”

Thank God the woman wasn’t injured. Do you think Bruce and Gary’s age has anything to do with these accidents or is just a coincidence. We have to stay tuned because a lot of times you don’t fell pain until the day after an accident. The woman may come back and demand cash for medical bills.

Many are calling this Raven’s great comeback to the screen. the “That’s So Raven Star” has been in retirement going to college and dealing with her sexuality (remember when she announced she was a lesbian). There is talk that she will appear on the show again. In terms of her acting career she is taking things into her own hands.

After starring on her hit Disney show That’s So Raven for four years, Raven returned to TV in 2011 with her short-lived ABC Family show Chasing Georgia. But Raven is in no rush to make a permanent return. “I will forever be in retirement. I deserve it,” The Cosby Show star told E! News at the Empire premiere party back in January. “I’ve been working from three years-old to 27. I said, ‘I will always be on vacation and now I am going to do things that I want to do.’ I’m just not going to go hard all the time like I used to.”

Not only is he telling his story he is holding the officer accountable. Although LAPD captain apologized to Jamar’s mother, the teen said he wants to hear that directly from the officer who shot him. According to LAPD officials, the detectives believed they saw one of the teenagers pointing a gun at another boy in the group.The detectives ordered the teen to drop the gun and when he failed to respond they fired multiple times at him, police officials said.But the detectives missed their intended target and instead shot Nicholson in the back, narrowly missing his spine.

Police did not realize the person was holding a toy gun until after shots were fired.“All of a sudden we hear ‘freeze,’” Nicholson told KTLA. “We didn’t know who it was. So I turned around and all I see is gunshots. I got hit. And (they) immediately told us ‘get on the f-ing ground.’”

There is a lot wrong with this story. At this point I feel like toy guns shouldn’t be made. I would never blame the victim but unfortunately there is no room for “play” Its seem like some police officers are really afraid of people in the community. Initiatives that FBI director James B. Comey proposed are really necessary. He stated

“We must better understand the people we serve and protect—by trying to know, deep in our gut, what it feels like to be a law-abiding young Black man walking on the street and encountering law enforcement. We must understand how that young man may see us. We must resist the lazy short-cuts of cynicism and approach him with respect and decency>

During an interview with Esquire, Will Smith revealed that the 2013 ‘After Earth’ movie was hard to do because of his son Jaden’s involvement in the movie. ‘That was excruciating,’ said Will and he called ‘After Earth’ the worst experience of his career. The 46 year old actor said that the movie he starred in with his son, was the most “painful failure” of his three-decades long career. He compared his 1999 “Wild Wild West” movie to “After Earth” and said it was tougher to take on because he had gotten Jaden, who is now 16, involved in the film. In the movie “After Earth,” Will Smith and Jaden played a father-and-son team who was stranded on post-apocalyptic Earth. It was criticized heavily by critics and was one of the year’s biggest flops. It made $60.5 million on an estimated production budget of $130 million.

A Daily News review called the movie a “crashing bore,” filled with poky action scenes, sketchy plot details, and clunky production design that had “ravaged Earth looking like a Hawaiian back lot.” Smith said, the movie’s failure came at a hard time in his life. He states, “After ‘Earth’ comes out, I get the box office numbers on Monday and I was devastated for about 24 minutes, and then my phone rang and I found out my father had cancer,” he said. “That put it in perspective — viciously.” Smith told Esquire, “What I learned from that failure is how you win. I got reinvigorated after the failure of ‘After Earth.’ I stopped working for a year and a half…I had to dive into why it was so important for me to have No. 1 movies.”

Will Smith’s next movie, “Focus,” will open Feb. 27th.

The movie is an adaptation of E.L. James S&M bestseller, which stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson. The movie is now expected to make around $50 to $70 million during the opening by industry insiders. The film made quite an impressive box office opening. Night screenings of the movie started at 8 p.m on 2,830 North American screens.

‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ is the highest late night performance for a film in February and the second highest-grossing one for an R-rated movie, behind “The Hangover 2,” which opened with $10.4 million. The movie was made on a low $40 million dollar budget and it will surely earn more money. The movie earned $8.6 million just from Thursday night screenings alone. The movie is already in the works for two more sequels, even though it’s unclear if the director Sam Taylor-Johnson will return to direct the film.

23 year old Elizabeth Wolthoff and 25 year old Rebecca Winslow had a death defying accident on Friday morning. In order to prevent from hitting a truck on route 80 Hackensack River bridge, Wolthoff had to do a quick swerve. That swerve turned into her Toyota Rav4 hitting a snowbank and becoming airborne which resulted in them plunging in the ground. The two women were still alive, coherent and cut from the vehicle by firefighters.

There has been some buzz that he would drop a tape before his official album, Views From Tha 6, but nobody knew for sure if they were going to hear brand new songs. NFL: Scary! NFL Lineman Fights Off Intruder During Home Invasion Attempt

This is a scary story for anyone. Raiders offensive lineman Donald Penn had to fight off a home invasion recently, and luckily because of his size he was able to fight the guy and hold him down until police came.

A frightening moment for Oakland Raiders lineman Donald Penn — who fought off a home intruder who kicked in his front door and threatened his family earlier this month … TMZ Sports has learned.

According to court docs obtained by TMZ Sports, Penn — who’s 6’4″, 340 lbs. and a former Pro Bowler — was at his L.A. home with his wife and kids when a large man hopped over his security gate, busted in his front door and began going crazy inside the home.

That’s when Penn — who was with his wife and 2 young children at the time — sprung into action … physically restraining the man (who’s 6’1″, 220 lbs.) … until cops showed up.

Sources tell us … Penn is adamant he has no connection to the man — and doesn’t know why he was targeted.

Penn eventually filed for a restraining order against the guy, which was granted — and now the suspect has been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from Penn and his family.

The case is scheduled to go before a judge later this month — when Penn will ask for a more permanent protection order.
