Children’s Books?! “Happy” is just the single that won’t stop. Hell, Pharrell is the artist that won’t stop. The singer/songwriter/producer and now, author will be releasing a children’s book based on the platinum selling single.

Rocket must be a proud son. Pharrell inks a four-book deal with Putnam Books’ Young Readers. The first of the four will somewhat mimic the child film Despicable Me 2, which happens to be the film that inspired “Happy“. The book, also titled Happy, will feature photographs of smiling children from around the world “celebrating what it means to be happy.” 250,000 copies of the children’s book is set to hit shelves on September 22. Dope.

On the red carpet for the Grammy awards last weekend (where he was nominated with his breakout song “Tuesday” for Best Rap Sung Collaboration,) iLoveMakonnen revealed to MTV some details about his forthcoming debut album. The OVO Sound signee said that Drake, Diplo, Skrillex, Snoop Dogg and even possibly Rihanna will all appear on the project, which is expected to drop in June or July. Rick Ross Announces Talent Search For New MMG Artist Via New Artist Platform

Along with Dina Marto’s Twelve Music Group, Rick Ross is launching a new platform for artists called Artists First and opening an MMG office in Atlanta at their studio.

“This is the new home for Maybach Music,” Marto said. “Their artists will be recording here. Executives will have offices here, so they can get work done while they’re in the city of Atlanta.”

The MMG and Marto partnership will also seek out a new MMG artist as a part of a label-promoted talent search.

“We’re launching a talent search for the next MMG artist,” Ross said. “We gon’ do it big. We gon’ go through this Artist First platform.”

NBA Report: Milwaukee Bucks Seeking Buyout With Larry Sanders

After several issues the past couple seasons, the Milwaukee Bucks are reportedly looking to part ways with Larry Sanders.

Buyout discussions have begun between the Milwaukee Bucks and Larry Sanders that would make the recently suspended big man a free agent, according to league sources.

Sanders has served a 10-game suspension for violating the league’s anti-drug program but has not returned to the team and is not expected to play for Milwaukee again. He has been listed as out for “personal reasons” in each of the Bucks’ past three games.

The 26-year-old has been adamant that he wants to resume his NBA career despite the personal struggles that have resulted in two league suspensions in less than a year.

“Soon you all will know the truth,” Sanders tweeted last week.

Because of thumb and eye injuries — as well as suspensions — Sanders has appeared in just 50 games for Milwaukee since landing a four-year, $44 million contract extension during the summer of 2013.

Looks like there’s a new couple alert, or so we think. Page Six reports that on Valentine’s Day, Wild’n Out star Nick Cannon took Nicole Murphy on a very romantic date for the lovey dovey holiday. The two were spotted at Tavern on the Green engaging in a low-lot romantic dinner. “The couple showed up at 11 p.m., when most other diners were already gone,” said a witness. “They were holding hands across the table, and gazing at each other throughout their meal.” The witness revealed that a Mariah Carey song awkwardly played and the couple in question paid no mind to it, and continued to look in each other’s eyes (aw, how sweet). They were also spotted not too long ago dining out with another couple at Bagatelle, but sources were denying any type of romance at the time.

Cannon is currently in the process of getting divorced from Mariah Carey while Murphy’s engagement from Michael Strahan was called off back in August. These two seem like a cute match! Do you think it’s just for show or that the two could possibly really like one another? We all know Nick got him a thaaannnnnngggg for the older pretty jawns. I suppose we shall see what comes of this new romance on the rise!

Congrats! Lady Gaga Gets Engaged To Taylor Kinney

Entertainer Lady Gaga and her actor boyfriend Taylor Kinney are set to tie the knot! He proposed on Valentine’s Day with a huge heart-shaped diamond ring and as you would expect, Gaga said yes!

“He gave me his heart on Valentine’s Day, and I said YES!” she captioned the photo of her gigantic new rock via her Instagram. She was spotted out and about two days after Valentine’s Day sporting a huge purple fur coat and grinning from ear-to-ear but she had her finger covered up. WELP, now we know why! The two love birds met for the first time on the set of her “You & I” video back in 2011. The two broke up after for a short period of time and got back together. Absolutely adorable. We wish these two the best of luck for the future! Wedding deets on the way, just wait on it.

Wiz Khalifa Claims Amber Rose Is Slacking As A Mom; Plans To Fight For More Custody

Amber Rose just cannot keep her name out of the headlines lately. Her ex Wiz Khalifa is claiming that Amb has been slacking on her mommy duties lately because she’s too caught up in “the life” and so on. It’s so bad to the point the Taylor Gang head honcho plans to take her to court to fight for more custody of their one-year-old son, Sebastian. Wiz is claiming that Amber stays out all night which requires for relatives to stay in the house to watch baby Bash, the dog licks it’s own feces and then licks Sebastian’s face, and he also claims Amber wakes up, plays with Bash for 15 minutes and then disappears along with a long list of other complains about his former wife.

Wiz has not filed court documents thus far but according to sources, he’s speaking to family members to build up a case against the vixen who he claims to be an unfit mother. Do you think Wiz will win this battle in court? After all of her recent shenanigans, it is quite possible!

NBA Report: Amar’e Stoudemire Will Join The Mavericks

After negotiating a buyout with the New York Knicks over the weekend, Amar’e Stoudemire will be joining the Dallas Mavericks!

The contract will become official once Stoudemire clears waivers & becomes a free agent on Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET!!!

Amar’e Stoudemire has committed to joining the Dallas Mavericks, according to league sources, giving him a chance to compete for a championship and adding much-needed frontcourt depth to a Western Conference contender’s bench.

Stoudemire, who negotiated a buyout with the New York Knicks over the weekend and was officially waived Monday, committed to the Mavs for the remainder of the season on Monday.

The contract will not become official until Stoudemire clears waivers on Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET, making him a free agent. His $23.4 million salary essentially makes the waivers process a mere formality.

The Los Angeles Clippers and the Phoenix Suns were among the playoff contenders who expressed interest in Stoudemire, a six-time All-Star who averaged 12 points and 6.8 rebounds in 36 games with the Knicks this season.

However, as ESPN.com reported earlier this month, the Mavs were the front-runners for Stoudemire’s services all along.

Amar’e Stoudemire couldn’t leave without showing love to his former team, the Knicks, & NYC!

“I will be forever grateful for the opportunity to contribute positively on the court and in the community.

“Although I leave the Knicks with a heavy heart, I wish the organization the best of luck. Once a Knick always a Knick.”

Train Derailment Causes Massive Explosion and Oil Spill in VA as crude oil leaked all over Fayette County, West Virginia around 1:30PM.

No injuries have been reported though one home has been destroyed from Train Derailment Causes Massive Explosion and Oil Spill in VA. CNN reports nearly 30 of the train’s more than 100 cars came off the tracks, “filling the sky with thick clouds of fire and smoke.” The spill did however spill into Kanawha River, which provides drinking water for the Kanawha and Fayette counties:

“Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin issued a state of emergency for both those counties Monday night. Area residents are being urged to conserve water.”

Residents have also been asked to evacuate from within half a mile of the Train Derailment Causes Massive Explosion and Oil Spill in VA. Many are noting the repeated dangers we keep seeing from the transport of crude oil as well as the effects of heavy weather on the crash and spill. Though some note it’s a necessary gamble, spokesman for the West Virginia Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety Lawrence Messina says authorities are still collecting information on the scene and nothing is yet concrete.

“We’ve had some severe winter weather conditions here with significant snowfall. We don’t yet know whether that’s a factor in this.”

So exactly what color is a “welfare queen?” Stereotypes, stigmas and racial profiling don’t apply to the More Than 30 Arrested in NY Food Stamp Fraud. While some ask “does it matter if you’re black or white?” others point out how, well…nobody’s really talking about this. If the arrests were people of color would this be a different story? Is the way we look at food stamp benefits all wrong to begin with?

This is actually not the first time the owner of the Old Time Butcher Block Store in Brushton, New York has been convicted on fraud charges, and this is definitely not the first time a group of non-colored offenders have been charged for the same. The arrestees were released on returnable court tickets and range from the youngest of 21 years of age to the oldest at 72 (damn).

Williams was hired as the show’s very first African American female correspondent, in 2012, and is still very much a regular.She has already created history just being apart. I think we have must re-work this whole system of going to ‘college”getting an “internship”. It sounds good but why do so many people feel under-qualified? My theory is because there is a lack of leadership. If you look online there are so many jobs listed as “internship” what they really want to say is can you be my slave and work for free. These organizations have no intention of really cultivating and developing people and as a result you have people with 101 empty internships. I can’t believe she worked under Jon Stewart since 2012 and isn’t ready to go that is a just sad. I’m sure it hasn’t all been roses. We all are aware of the initiation process you have to go through as a new person. I’m sure she experienced people withholding information and the whole nine yards but that has nothing to do with her trying. What are your thoughts? Do you think She being honest with herself or cowardly?
