Drake Gets Beatles Tattoo to Celebrate Chart Record

Posted by Unknown on 2:48 PM

Drake has more slaps than The Beatles, and he’s making it known.

The 6 God got a new tattoo to celebrate his record-breaking chart feat. The ink on his left forearm, which was revealed by Word On Road, shows the Toronto rapper standing in front of The Beatles in an image inspired by the band’s Abbey Road album cover. Drizzy leads the pack, while the four band members walk behind him in a single-file line down the crosswalk on Abbey Road in London.

Drizzy’s play on the iconic 1969 cover art is a nod to him passing The Beatles for the second-most top 10s in the history of the Billboard Hot 100. He achieved this with “Money in the Grave” featuring Rick Ross in June. He now has 35 top 10 hits, behind only Madonna, who leads with 38.

Drake rapped about the milestone (“I got more slaps than The Beatles”) on Meek Mill’s “Going Bad,” which was a reference to him surpassing The Beatles’ record for most top 10 hits on the Hot 100 in a single year.

Earlier this month, he dropped his Care Package project featuring fan favorites that were previously unavailable on streaming services. It is expected to debut at No. 1 on next week’s Billboard 200.

He has also been hard at work on a new album. During the London stop on his “Assassination Vacation Tour” in April, Drizzy revealed that he’s already started recording and plans to return with a new album in 2020.
