Video: A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie – ‘No Promises’

Posted by Unknown on 7:33 PM

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie makes “No Promises” in the video for his Cardo-produced banger off last year’s breakout debut, The Bigger Artist.

The JMP-directed clip kicks off with Artist writing raps in his notebook. He sits at the piano and contemplates life while trying to come up with words for the track. Later, he stands out in the rain during a dramatic performance.

Settings change quickly throughout the visual. One moment, Boogie’s in London, dancing with friends, and showing off his lavish High Bridge chain. The next, he’s around seductive snow sirens in an ice-cold room. Then, he’s right back at the piano, writing new material.

Boogie says the song is a tribute to one of his fans, Savannah Walker, who was shot and killed during one of his concerts last year. She was 20. “Rest In Peace Savannah,” he wrote.

A Boogie also dropped his debut album The Bigger Artist last year, but he’s already gearing up to release its follow-up. Recently, the New York rhymer took to Twitter to make the announcement.

“Been on the Road for weeks recording,” he wrote. “Dropping soon…You won’t be disappointed.”
