Sean Paul and David Guetta get “Mad Love” on their island-flavored collaboration featuring Becky G.
The dance floor-ready track features some back-and-forth singing between Sean and Becky. It’s also a global celebration, as he goes into patois, and she dabbles in Spanglish.
“Love me like that, poco a poco, muy, muy lento,” she sings, while asking for love in a slow and tender way. “Good Lord, girl, you goin’ so hard,” he adds. “Girl, yuh legs look the best when I’m spreading the two apart.”
The long-awaited joint reportedly took two years to make. “I’ve been working on this record for a long time,” said Sean. “It was a pleasure to work with David Guetta and his team as we got the production to the perfect sound. It was also great to work with Becky G and her team. ‘Nuff love to all of them! The song is full of energy and I can’t wait for people to hear it!”
Becky also rejoiced over the raunchy collaboration. “It’s a dream come true to have the opportunity to collaborate with an icon like Sean,” she said. “Music brings people together and that’s exactly what this song does. ‘Mad Love’ will give you the energy you need to get up and get on the dance floor!”
