New Music: Kodak Black – ‘Erykah Badu’

Posted by Unknown on 6:20 PM

Kodak Black goes “On & On” about “Erykah Badu” on his latest buzz track.

Pulling inspiration from the soulful songstress’ Baduizm hit, Project Baby raps about what he imagines will happen, should his paths cross with Badoula’s.

“If I ever meet Erykah Badu, I’ma fuck her,” he raps. “If I ever see you out in public, I’ma touch ya / Doing me, staying busta-free / I will bust a busta.”

This is just the latest Kodak track in recent weeks, following “Florida Boy” with T-Pain and Rick Ross and “Broward Paradise” with Jackboy and John Wicks.

The song follows controversy for Black, who was arrested last month on seven charges, including grand theft of a firearm, possession of marijuana over 20 grams, neglecting a child, two charges for possession of a weapon or ammo by a felon, and two probation violation charges.

Badu is coming off a very different sort of controversy. She was most recently criticized for claiming that she “saw something good in Hitler.” Later, she would respond to the criticism, writing, “Voicing honest opinions (even if they are meant to be loving) in such a sensitive world where most of us are victims of some violent past is very dangerous. Even encouraging words can be misinterpreted when taken out of context. Human beings are very delicate. Protect one another.”
