SZA Performs ‘Broken Clocks’ at Grammys

Posted by Unknown on 10:48 PM

SZA takes Ctrl of the Grammys.

Despite the fact that she was shut out of her five categories, the most-nominated female this year still delivered a winning performance of “Broken Clocks” at Madison Square Garden on Sunday (Jan. 28).

Dressed in a distressed jersey and ripped jeans, SZA belted out her stellar track, which recently got President Barack Obama’s stamp of approval. The set also featured a group of backup singers, a live band, and large screens with dynamic images of trees.

Hair flowing in the air, SZA carried on with the emotional performance as the New York crowd roared in approval and sparks fell behind her.

SZA was nominated for five awards, including Best New Artist, Best R&B Performance (“The Weekend”), Best R&B Song (“Supermodel”), Best Urban Contemporary Album (Ctrl), and Best Rap/Sung Performance (“Love Galore” featuring Travis Scott).

“This entire thing puts my wildest dreams to shame,” she said last year. “I dunno what to say cause I️ dunno how to accept its even happening to me.”
