Poor Adrien Broner just turned 27 yesterday and had to celebrate in jail because the judge in his assault case denied him an early release. So sad.
Remember? Broner was thrown in the clink for contempt of court after he showed up 3 hours late and toasty to a court appearance for an assault charge he garnered back in the spring. He was sentenced to 30 hard days.
He wanted to be released eadrly so that he can get ready for an upcoming fight that he has…but the Judge said…
If I let you go early because you’re a sports star, what message does that send? You didn’t show up. You were three hours late and drunk. I said 30 days, and 30 is the number.
WELL! 30 it is.
