Say whaaaat?! The Weeknd Arrested for Punching A Cop in Vegas this past Saturday after a fight broke out at the Cromwell Hotel. The singer has posted bail and an Instagram post following him punching an officer “in the head.”
The Weeknd Arrested for Punching A Cop in Vegas during a fight that broke out around 4:20AM last Saturday. Somewhere along the lines police were called and tried to break up the fight which was still raging. It’s reported the Canada native was dragged into an elevator as a result, which is where the headline-making punch was delivered to the side of the officer’s head. He was promptly taken to jail for assault.
“Tesfaye was arrested for battery of a protected person.”
(…not so protected then huh!)
Abel Tesfaye aka The Weeknd Arrested for Punching A Cop in Vegas soon after posted bail and if you’re a concerned fan, is currently roaming free. He posted a picture to Instagram with the caption, “escaped from Las Vegas,” which shows him walking to a private jet in the wee hours of the morning later that day (check the gallery).
