They’re calling him the “Diaper Don,” Kevin Hargrove was arrested Thursday as the Brooklyn Man Goes on Tri State Theft of Thousands of Dollars in Diapers. Police say he made his rounds at multiple locations by cleverly swapping diaper price tags for 99-cent tags (good one!) and using the self-help check-out lanes. Of course it was all good till he got caught…

“If I had to guess I’ve hit every Stop & Shop in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut,” an apparently unremorseful Hargrove told cops, according to court papers. “I’ve been doing this so long I can’t remember.” The young father told detectives he was keeping some diapers for his own family but was stealing mostly to sell them on the street, officials said. He stole a wide variety of brands and sizes.

He was arraigned Friday and faces third-degree grand larceny and two counts of second-degree falsifying business records, as well his bail was set at $9,000 bond or $4,500 cash.
