This is really sad, and over some soda. Allegedly 25 yr old Kajieme Powell took 2 sodas from the local corner store, and from the tape you can see he was agitated, walking back and forth with the sodas on the ground saying “I’m tired of this s**t”. The clerk from the store was standing and watching from a distance, telling the person video taping that he was waiting for the police to come, in which the person taping was laughing at the time.

As soon as the police rolled up he(25 yr old Kajieme Powell) was screaming “Shoot Me” at them, and reached into his jacket pocket, police then screamed at him “get your hands out of your pocket”, the video was far back so you can’t really see if he had anything in his hand, but police are reporting he had a knife, he then rushed toward them and shots proceeded to ring out and Powell fell to the ground dead.

At this point multiple police got on the scene, and the person videotaping was def not laughing anymore. Although it appears as the police were defending themselves, the people around, including the person videotaping had a point of they could have tased him instead of shooting him, or at least shot him in the leg(s) to take hime down. I know police are trained hit body mass, but is life not worth trying to keep, Powell obviously had some sort of issue going on in his mind, and unless he had a gun, their life was not in imminent danger, at least in my opinion, especially since this is only 4 miles from where Mike Brown Jr. was shot and killed by police 10 days earlier.

Watch the disturbing Video Here:

Police allegedly released this video, probably because they believe the shooting is justified, and think this will be evidence for the community to not protest like ferguson.
